I really appreciate this game, especially the artsy steam-punk world. The game-play is solid and character movements/combat are really smooth. 10/10!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Stealth Action Game. If you like Far Cry 3, you'll like this too..., December 3, 2013
This is one of the few games that I wish I bought much sooner than I did; it's that good.

Bottom Line: If you played and loved Far Cry 3, Splinter Cell or Perhaps Crysis 3, just buy this. It's easily better than Splinter Cell and can rival Far Cry 3 in many ways. It's an incredible stealth-action (choose your own path) game. Just incredible.

More details: I've had this game on my radar for a while but hate paying full price for games... so I wait for sales. I was reluctant about this game due to the "magic" among other aspects. Not "my thing" but still added it to my personal "watch list" for when a sale came.

Well, I've picked this up during the holiday sales and randomly decided to jump up to the GOTY edition (as opposed to the just the base game). I didn't think I was going to play of the DLC but for the extra money, I decided why not just in case -- might as well have all the content offered for the game. I'm glad I did as... Read more

If you liked the old Thief sneakers, this is the game for you. You play in the first person and are endowed with some rather amazing abilities but the game makes up for your special powers with tougher scenarios. As you gain experience, you are given the option of acquiring new, or enhancing existing, abilities. Combat is swift and exciting but, as with a good sneaker, the avoidance of fighting is its own reward. The game actually adjusts its conclusion for the amount of mayhem you inflict on a very deserving police force.

The story (rescue the princess) is compelling and the characters are engaging. There's much to distract you from play as the authors of this game have populated it with many items to make it more realistic. You don't have to read the books or talk to that many characters but you have the option to dawdle a bit. Replay is definitely warranted as you'll try to play the various missions in different styles just for the fun of it. (I could not find a... Read more
