This training software requires online activation prior to use. If you have a router that has a firewall, there may be some difficulty in activating the software. The firewall needs to be bypassed or disabled. In my situation, I have a desktop operating wirelessly over a network, and was unable to activate the software. The wireless router that I have does not provide any means of disabling the built-in firewall. It was necessary for me to hardwire the desktop to the cable modem, taking the wireless router out of the loop in order to activate the training software. Other than that, the software provides essential training to overcome the hurdle of using Windows 8.1.
